1. Everything's falling apart but you can count on i_ai_r's titanium frame and juche-influenced construction to brave the strongest of storms
2. In all seriousness I don't think things are good right now
3. Things may not be good right now, but some things are good you feel.
4. Example of some things: Marty Supreme, The Count of Monte Cristo
5. Maybe it requires a second viewing but Marty Supreme could be my favorite movie ever. It's like they took ideas (debt, Jewish people) introduced in Uncut Gems, albeit without Kevin Garnett, and multiplied them by 3
6. It also has a needle drop for "The Perfect Kiss" by New Order, which I recognized in 2 notes, and also soyfaced during
7. I also really dug Endo's character because despite my mass consumption of Japanese media for pretty much my entire life the Orient still stands as an omnipresent mystical entity and I think having a Japanese guy personify all of that as a deity of the sport of ping pong speaks to both my tastes and my acquired self-titled "asian zing"
8. Going to spoil the end here a little bit but it doesn't matter because if you haven't watched it already you're pretty much cattle in my eyes but the fact that the entire ending sequence in Japan involved a lot of dialogue in the Japanese language none of it was subtitled adding to the hectic everything-on-the-line atmosphere manufactured by the Marty Supreme himself
9. The only difference between me and him is that someone could understand the Japanese commentary and someone couldn't. For those unfamiliar, this is the crux of the "asian zing"
10. Mentioned in the same breath as this movie is a book I've finished recently, a famous revenge novel set in Napoleonic France, "巌窟王" (you may know this as "The Count of Monte Cristo") by noted mulatto author "デュマ" (Alexandre Dumas). I had never been hooked by a book as easily before, and it helped that it was a surprisingly easy read, albeit at a high volume
11. The whole time I cannot help but think that the whole deal with our protagonist Edmond Dantes aka. The Count of Monte Cristo somewhat inspired the antics that would be depicted on screen in Oldboy (2003). Yes there is incest
12. If you read a synopsis for both of these things I'm sure you'd know exactly what I'm talking about and since I insult your intelligence I'm just gonna say it here: Dantes is held a prisoner wrongfully for 14 years before manufacturing a miraculous escape. Mellowed out and assuming a new identity with everything set up for him (thanks to an infinite treasure left to him by his next-door cellmate) he then carries out his elaborate revenge on the men who framed him long ago
13. And then I was like "oh shit wait this is kinda Oldboy (2003)"
14. I could be kind of retarded though. I need to watch that movie again badly, alongside a thousand other movies I haven't watched because I refuse to make time for them. With some exceptions
15. I made time for "It's A Wonderful Life" to watch with wife. I could actually say a lot of good about it, but that'd be too sappy and besides we've already long passed Christmas Eve so I'll just say foremost that the whole thing is enveloped in the charm that only existed when we knew that the United States wasn't royally fucked
16. Honorable mentions to "Boogiepop Phantom", which, believe it or not, was really confusing and may or may not have warranted more than 12 episodes. However that doesn't matter, because the tones were sepia and the music was good and the sound design was good and Boogiepop's design is like super cool too and
17. Honestly enough talking about medias because nobody, not even I, cares to share the recently consumed media(s) en masse. It's dumb. Anyways I also got to watch the Super Tank Bowl, Raiders vs Giants, live at Allegiant Stadium. Regardless of what it did to my team's draft pick I will always love my franchise QB Jaxson Dart for doing cool stuff on the football either even if it was against the biggest saddest sack of shit organization in the universe.
18. As I am writing this though, the fate of their pick is still up in the air. I have confidence that they will lose against the mighty Dallas Cowboys, and the broken and finished Chiefs, headed by famous 3rd string QB Assalamualaikum, will likewise lose to the gutsy Raiders. Ignore what I just said about them
19. My body has failed me as of recent. I've been dealing with a bout of sudden patellar tendonitis and I was unable to locate when exactly it got onset. It took pretty much 3 weeks of rest in order for things to return to relatively normal, but I am still incredibly conscious because I need to be able to move around without issues in about uhhh a week.
20. What's happening in a week you may ask? Nothing major just me going back to university and my penis being put in the blender and it hurting alot. Nothing special, if you've been here before you know how much this means to me [positive].
21. Honestly though, things don't even look as hard as they could be. Just as long as I manage it properly (of course), I will have plenty of time to waste on things that won't be going on Twitter or anything like that. Think: Reading, drawing, reading again but in Japanese, etc.
22. I've also neglected club activities but that's lowkey because I'm a schizoid and isn't derived from any time management issues. I think I'm still wasting time by not getting involved though
23. Regarding "won't be going on Twitter": It seems like a lot of people are rightfully at their breaking point thanks to the Boer's implementation of psychotic features that allow anyone with any sort of public presence to have their likeness modified in horrific ways, usually without the knowledge of it themselves. Yes this includes children
24. The fact that nothing has changed for weeks despite this constant outcry from myriad parties (including swaths of Japanese artists who have voiced their own concerns) goes to show the internal policy at X The Everything App as its role as pretty much a government propaganda app headed by a South African who fucks cats: demoralization of pretty much every sentient thing that breathe son the planet, as strong emotion equals retention equals money.
25. It's not crazy to say that nobody in the West holding a significant amount of power stands for anything except accumulating capital aka. corruption, because it's out in full swing; the threshold of power necessary gradually getting lower, with X The Everything App facilitating the establishment of a nouveau riche built on nothing but fraud, if enough of those chomos haven't sprung up within the past year.
26. I've been dodging saying the two specific platform's names, but they act as an infinite jest for gamblers. "Predictions" used in advertising as a way to perpetuate a legal loophole of course. They have made their presence well known on every corner of the walled garden of the modern internet and it is almost always to a net negative. Every piece of "news" and every event is attached to a profit incentive which allows exactly what you think would hpapen to happen. Gambling flavored insider trading, and as per always the house always wins. How so? By establishing influence everywhere they can digitally.
27. A myriad of news accounts are sponsored by them, and a part of their guerilla marketing gimmick is by pushing the "chance" of something occurring, usually a supermajority, as a proposition alongside objective statements (as in: the fucking news).
28. This then splits people into two groups: 1) lowkirkenually lumpengroypercattle who do actually think that the odds posted on prediction markets are an objective statement of truth and 2) people who do not believe that they are, which may actually end up adding trading volume in the end. I don't need to tell you what the house does
29. Soon the best constant stream of information will be none at all. A fair portion of zoomers have taken up this arduous task to varying levels of success. As for when its my turn? That will be when I have to focus on exams and various other academic delusions
30. This is a reminder to you, the viewer, that getting off the computer and reading a book or going on a walk or taking a shower (granted you're not a droid who showers listening to Drake on a JBL bluetooth speaker) is very relaxing and, if you have to be on the computer for as long as you have to, encorporating more and more of such relaxing things into your every day routine will help you in pretty much every single way. Including focus!
31. Everyone won't shut the fuck up about how they can't focus and its because the entertainment environment around us has eroded to be inhuman in record time. The metaphorical "fall of the Twin Towers" was when KSI stoppd making FIFA videos around 2016 and started his prestigious roadman rap career
32. The cut will start soon. As in: I will eat at a caloric deficit and become a nice and svelte groyperous twink because I missed my excellent speed back when I could say I fit that mold. Being able to bench 1.5x my bodyweight's nice and all but honestly I'd like to sacrifice a little bit of that strength to get to that point again
33. I'm very tired
